Bearsted Rangers Assemble In Amsterdam

Over the last weekend in October, 6 Bearsted Rangers and 4 leaders took part in the London and South East Region “Assemble in Amsterdam” event. We flew out to Amsterdam very early on Friday morning and explored the city in the afternoon, including a visit to Anne Frank’s House which was very moving. We finished off with a boat trip around the canals. The next morning we took part in the wide game organised by LaSER, which was this year themed on Where’s Wally and other childhood games. 

The group explored the city whilst completing tasks, had some free time and eat numerous snacks! Whilst the weather wasn’t brilliant in the morning, the sun came out in the afternoon and it was glorious. The evening was spent playing games at the hostel (who knew that UNO could be so competitive!?) and resting our very weary feet! On Sunday we went to a Pancake House and had a wonderful brunch before making our way to the airport. It was a brilliant weekend, new friendships were formed and many laughs had! We are now looking forward to hearing where next year’s LaSER weekend will be!
